First of all, it does not work. At all. And it’s not because I am a perfectionist, and demand a fairly well articulated appearance. Or because I am a seeker of truth, and try to engage them in a frank conversation – which kept the total of sheep at a steady 2. But because the entire exercise is so deeply existential in nature, and, hence, cannot be solved.  To sleep, perchance to dream, escape from reality, anticipation of non-being – actually more like wasting being time on presuming non-being – and all at expense of very lovely, fluffy critters. And they are lovely if you get to talk to them for any significant length of time.

That brings us to the second of all, which I need to make short due to the lack of time, and which can be summed up as –  our experience with time is all our fault. We beat, waste, and throw it away. Some even go as far as to deny its existence. Truth of the matter is —  time is helpful. Things change, and time keeps track; people change, and time heals.  But change is the one and only lesson, it’s just not as evident when you are counting sheep.

But to the point, today’s, July 21, 2010 Puff’n’sip is on! Tonight is Brown LQ Puff’n’sip. What the..?!! – you ask. Read on! – I answer.

Brown LQ night will include:

-a flight of selected bourbons

-a flight of selected rum

-a flight of selected scotches

Selection would change with time (we’ll work on constantly improving those), but should provide you with an excellent gateway to the delightful world of brown liquor.  NOTE: Brown LQ night is in NO way is aiming at  limiting your choices. Drink whatever you want. Really.

Bad Bunny Pub Hop Committee

It might seems impossible and there is an outstanding argument whether bunnies have lips, and if they do – only 46% of Americans admit to contemplating and/or speculating about bunny lips - if there is any intrinsic or esoteric  value to those. Bunny lips, not Americans. But regardless of the statistic argument, here is what I heard:

Easter is next Sunday, which means that next Friday is the 5th Annual Bad Bunny Pub Hop!

Friday April 2nd at 5PM 

You don’t need a costume to be a bunny, but appropriate apparel is highly encouraged. You can rent a full bunny costume locally at Costumes on Haight (about $40), or get some bunny ears at Walgreens.

As always we will be raising money to support the Blind Babies Foundation. Blind Babies Foundation provides family services for infants and preschoolers who are blind or visually impaired.

But I do wonder sometimes what would IT have been if… it was not for the clever scheme to make money off a jolly large man with a handsome white beard, or if the Russians didn’t stop Tatar-Mongols on their spring break trip to Europe, or even if the guy with a scraggly beard, way back, decided that 30 coins was just not worth it… My guess, that it would have been a large bear, or a pony. But thanks to all the above, and a couple things in between, we got Santa Claus!

Puff-n-Sip Costume Pub Crawl Subcommittee

Not because I am lazy, or have nothing to share, but it’s just better fitting to the message. Although, I have to admit that just typing in “Puff’n’sip” in the title made my mysterious poetry gland tingle.

But back to prose though – Puff’n’sip is (The Management acknowledges and apologizes for the gap) and will be. But it will be in a somewhat new place. Don’t have all the details yet, but this list has to move due to some unfortunate feedback. Not everyone is onboard apparently.

Luckily, we always will have the home, or way to reach out and annoy, or even a blossoming network of fans (coming..). Check in often.  

And keep your eyes open for the invite to Puff’n’holdem – we’ll have one in September. Recommendations for benefiting charity are very welcome:

-local in reach

-children, family, education minded. Community development is always great too.
