If you look hard enough you can always find it –  the good stuff. Sometimes it’s a little deeper than expected, sometimes it takes time to reach it. In fact the statement “good things come to those who wait” does not right away deny good things to those who don’t. Or bad things to those who do. It just lets you know that those who do would get their share. It might not be all silver when you get there but it’s there.

So you might have started the day thinking that it was ONLY Wednesday, but armed with the above knowledge, you’ll quickly realize that Wednesday’s are world-known to be Puff’n'sip days, and there – all better! As to counting, all I have to say is – 10 days! Tsit…

Here in SF, we like to do exactly the same thing exactly the same day every year, over and over. It’s like birthdays though – never gets boring! We love it as much as we do the fog, that sticks around the whole day and makes July 22 look like November 23.

And when they take it away, it really really hurts. Like the North Beach Jazz Fest. For years, they’ve been true to our partnership and opened the fest on Puff’n’sip day. Not this year. Sad. We all should consider helping them…

It’s here!… As I gaze thoughtfully out the window, thick and foamy, slightly dingy in color, and definitively malicious in intent, SF fog is claiming what’s left of the sunny day. Colors slowly give into uniform grayness, buildings on the top of the hill drop off towers, balconies, and gradually lose shape. The bridge is the next to go… The brief affair with summer is over… All there’s left is a memory, bright yellow and giddy, like a smiley in IM, and..  And Puff’n'sip!  Yes, no matter what there is Puff’n'sip.
